2012 CDFA Capitol Hill Day

Help CDFA preserve tax-exempt bonds this August during the second 2012 CDFA Capitol Hill Day, held in conjunction with the National Development Finance Summit. Tax-exempt bonds are facing a number of current threats, including market challenges and Congressional attacks. CDFA has launched an aggressive campaign to educate Congress on the vital importance of tax-exempt bonds. This campaign includes letter writing, case study collection and lobbying Congressional leaders. CDFA needs your help to deliver a strong and unified message to Capitol Hill. the details of the first include:

When: August 1, 2012 (1:00pm - 5:00pm)

Who: Issuers, Investors, Bond Counsel, those who have a stake in the use of tax-exempt bonds

Where: Attendees are asked to meet at the The Fairmont Washington, DC located at 2401 M Street, NW in Washington, DC. CDFA has negotiated a significantly reduced nightly room rate of $199 for Capitol Hill Day attendees. To reserve a room, contact the The Fairmont Washington DC at (202) 429-2400. All reservations for the CDFA block must be made over the phone for this event. Mention CDFA when contacting the hotel.

Logistics: All attendees must sign-up with CDFA to attend this event. Once confirmed, CDFA will work to schedule meetings with members of your Congressional delegation. CDFA will provide information concerning the issues and our request to preserve tax-exempt bonds. Literature, directions and schedules will be handed out prior to visiting Congressional offices.
