MEMBER BENEFITS

Through the support of our members, CDFA is able to provide a number of services that benefit the entire development finance industry. For example, annual dues for membership go towards the creation and maintenance of our complimentary online resources, such as the CDFA Online Resource Database, the TIF Resource Library, the Tax Credit Resource Library, and our monthly e-newsletter: CDFA Update.

CDFA greatly appreciates the support of our members and, in return, we offer the following benefits:

Reduced Rates for CDFA Events and Trainings

CDFA Members receive reduced rates to all CDFA events, including training courses, the Annual Development Finance Summit, all meetings of the Tax Increment Finance Coalition (TIFC), and other workshops and seminars. In addition, members often receive further savings when two or more employees from the same member organization attend an event. This benefit provides the most significant financial compensation for membership and can ultimately cover the cost of annual dues.

Use of CDFA’s Flash E-mail Service

The CDFA Flash E-mail Service is an on-line community that provides opportunities for members to share their experiences and learn from each other all year long. Flash E-mail discussions have included topics such as applications for Industrial Development Bonds (IDBs), guidelines for conduit borrowers, TIF bonds, New Markets Tax Credits, and more. This service is exclusively for our members and can easily be requested by visiting the Flash E-mail page.

Reduced Rates for Publications in the CDFA Bookstore

CDFA Members are eligible for reduced rates and discounts on a number of industry publications through partnership established by the Council and made available through the online Bookstore. Aside from the publications produced by CDFA and available for sale at reduced rates to members, CDFA has partnered with Novogradac & Company to provided their industry publications at a reduced rate to Council members. Novogradac's publications cover tax credits and tax-exempt bonds in the housing, historic rehab, new markets and economic development industry.

Representation on Capitol Hill

CDFA is the voice of development finance on Capitol Hill.
