Gov. Cuomo Unveils First NY Green Bank Transactions
NY Green Bank has completed its first transaction, according to New York Real Estate Journal. NY Green Bank's support helps projects that have difficulty accessing finance needed from the private sector alone.

Business Incentives Boom in New Jersey Since 2010
New Jersey has committed nearly $5 billion since Gov. Chris Christie took office in 2010, According to an Associated Press, the amount is three times as much as the state committed from 1996 to 2009.

State Appeals Federal Rejection of Tappan Zee Funds
New York filed an appeal arguing the U.S. EPA violated the federal law when it rejected the state's plan to use money from the federal Clean Water State Revolving Fund to help pay for the Tappan Zee Bridge project.

NJ Mayors Want Their Business District Funds from the State
Mayors and other urban officials in NJ are supporting a bill to reinstate state funds for Urban Enterprise Zones (UEZ). In Feb. 2010, Gov. Christie began to use the funds to balance the state budget. The bill would mandate that a portion of the sales tax goes back to the municipalities, which was the goal of the program when enacted.
