Muni Disclosure Responsibility Would Shift to Issuers in Draft Bill
Rep. Gwen Moore, D-WI, has drafted a bill that would reorient the entire municipal securities disclosure regime by making state and local government issuers or borrowers, rather than their underwriters, responsible for the disclosure of bond-related information.

Kaufmann Ranks WI Second for Mainstreet Entrepreneurship
The index used three different metrics to grade states: the percentage of adults in a state who own a business, the survival rate of businesses in their first five years of existence, and the proportion of businesses that have 50 or fewer employees.

Governor Walker Announces $10M for Rural Development
The plan is called the Rural Economic Development Initiative, designed to help businesses create more jobs in rural areas for low and moderate income persons. The second component supplies housing for people to work in an area. The third component ties to worker training.
