UFA Receives $65M in NMTC Awards
The U.S. Treasury Department's CDFI Fund announced more than $3.5 billion in New Markets Tax Credit awards aimed at stimulating investment and economic growth in low-income urban neighborhoods and rural communities nationwide. CDFA member United Fund Advisors was awarded $65 million in allocation.

Oregon is Poised to Fund Energy Storage
The Oregon Department of Energy announced its energy storage demonstration project. According to the Clean Energy Group, the $295,000 combines state funds with support from the US DOE Office of Electricity and technical assistance from the Sandia National Laboratories.

Brownfield Bill Could Put Oregon Cities in the Land Bank Biz
New legislation is creating a way for local governments to create land banks to cleanup contaminated sites in Oregon. According to the Portland Business Journal, only 35 percent of sites in Oregon have been assessed for cleanup.

Foreign Investors Help Portland Boom
KGW writes on the impact that EB-5 finance has had on Portland and states that EB-5 investments will help Portland in the long run. This type of investment brings more jobs to the economic center of the city.

Oregon Legislature Prods Congress on Infrastructure Financing
A new resolution calling on Congress to authorize a new federal bond program would allow states and localities to finance their infrastructure in an more efficient manner. According to NCPPP, the program will increase the efficiency by providing a wider range of market-based options.
