The Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA) is proud to announce the winners of the 2015 New York/New Jersey Financing Roundtable Excellence Awards. This year's winners include Joseph Branca, Angel Investor Tax Credit Program, Solar City, and Route 7 Wittpenn Bridge.

A new loan program with $10 million in private funding to assist small businesses is being launched by Jersey City Officials, according to NJ.com. The loan program will provide loans between $25,000 and $250,000 to small business and start-ups.

A former YMCA in downtown Schenectady, NY is being converted into senior apartments thanks to a financing package that includes $17.3 million in historic tax credits, a $8.2 million tax-exempt construction loan, and $6.6 million in CDBG funds.

The New York Times reports that the $500 million ferris wheel being constructed on State Island is being partially funded through $30 million in crowdfunding.

As reported by Water World, Governor Chris Christie recently signed legislation authorizing up to $1.94 billion in state financing for projects to improve drinking water and wastewater infrastructure across the state. More than 280 projects will be authorized for low-interest loans and no-interest financing.

Excelsior Growth Fund (EGF), a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution formed by New York Business Development Corporation (NYBDC) to address underserved markets and to implement targeted programs that address the needs of low-income and otherwise underserved small business owners, has created an online lending platform for small business owners.
