$100M in GO-Biz CA Competes Tax Credits Available in January
Cities looking to attract, retain or expand jobs in their community should consider the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) California Competes Tax Credit Program as part of their strategy. Applications are evaluated based on total jobs created, total investment, average wage, economic impact, strategic importance and more.

SF Gets $11M Fed Grant for Transit, Pedestrian Safety
San Francisco will receive $11 million from the federal government for projects to encourage carpools, time traffic signals for transit and pedestrian safety, and test driverless passenger shuttles at Treasure Island. The grants come from a fund that is usually distributed to cities and states to manage highway congestion.

PACE Funding Group Supports CA's Consumer Protections Bill
California has passed legislation requiring consumer disclosures and standards for all PACE administrators within the state that are consistent with PACE Funding's existing standards. The bill tightens financing standards for PACE financing for residential properties while preserving the essential benefits for consumers seeking energy and water efficient homes.

CA Pacific Ethanol to Use PACE for $10M Solar Project
Pacific Ethanol Inc. will be using PACE funding to install a $10 million solar project at its ethanol plant in Madera. This is the largest amount of funding ever granted for a commercial project under a PACE program.

CaliforniaFirst PACE Program Finances Projects for Commercial Property
The CaliforniaFirst PACE program is one of 12 PACE programs active in California and is available for both residential and commercial real property.  CaliforniaFIRST is currently available in more than 40 California counties, with over 330 participating local governments.

CA Voters will Decide Hundreds of Tax and Bond Measures
The California Taxpayers Association released a lengthy report on 228 local tax measures and another 193 local bond measures, totaling $32 billion, that would require property tax increases to service. Tax or bond measures will be on the ballot in 50 of the state's 58 counties.

Green Bonds Yet to Realize Pricing Premium
Investors have yet to reward green bonds with better pricing, but there is growing demand for the niche. While investors aren't yet willing to pay more to purchase green bonds, there is demand for the bonds from large institutional investors who seek out green bonds over traditional bonds.

$210M Financing for Multi-State Retail Portfolio Arranged
Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, L.P. (HFF) announced that it has arranged a total of $210 million in first lien financing for Westwood Financial Corp comprising 10 multi-tenant retail centers totaling 973,985 square feet in Arizona, California, Kansas, North Carolina and Texas markets.
