Developer Proposes Hotel for Old Municipal Courts Building Historic Tax Credits, TIF, and a Community Imporvment District are a few of the financing tools that will be used to finance this $60M redevelopment of the old Municipal Courts Building. Downtown Washington City TIF Requests Get Nod A downtown redevelopment project continues to move forward now that the Washington City Council approved three requests by the developer. The project is to redevelop a blighted property along Front Street in Downtown Washington. MO Senator Introduces Bill to Extends Tax Credit Program The bill, titled The New Markets Tax Credit Extension Act of 2017, would ensure that rural communities and urban neighborhoods left outside the economic mainstream have access to financing to grow their economies and create jobs. Community and Economic Development Solutions LLC Launches in MO The former leaders of the St. Louis region's economic development agency are back together. Their new firm, Community and Economic Development Solutions LLC, is offering real estate, project management and organizational consulting to businesses, governments and nonprofits. MO Bill Would Condition Muni Broadband Buildouts The telecom-backed bill would require a feasibility study before any local government could expand broadband infrastructure and any such expansion would have to be approved by a majority of voters. USDA Announces Funding to Improve Rural Electric Infrastructure The Rural Development Deputy Under Secretary has announced that the USDA is making loans to electric cooperatives that will help continue to deliver safe, reliable and affordable electricity to rural residents, business and institutions in nine states.
