Ohio Cracking Down on Tax Breaks The Ohio Development Services Agency has been trying to monitor companies' compliance with added jobs and investments in return for tax credits. The Columbus Dispatch reports that the Tax Credit Authority revised or canceled incentive contracts with 105 companies in one day. Toledo-Lucas Co. Port Authority EB-5 Regional Center Designation The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority now has an EB-5 Regional Center, according to the Toledo Blade. The Center has been the result of an effort by MidAmerica Global Ventures, and several other agencies, including the Columbus-Franklin County Finance Authority and the U. of Toledo. Piper Jaffray Ohio Market Update The Piper Jaffray Ohio Public Finance Team provides this weekly market update for port authority bond funds and economic development agencies in Ohio as well as a snapshot of the overall municipal bond market. SSBCI 2013 Annual Report This report from the U.S. Treasury summarizes the states' Annual Reports and gives state-by-state data showing how SSBCI programs operating in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and five territories have expended their allocated funds in 2013.
