Tax Credit Fund to Finance Over $225M in Solar Energy in NC
Churchill Stateside Group, LLC (CSG), a real estate and renewable energy financial services company, is pleased to announce the closing of Churchill Stateside Solar Tax Credit Fund IX for the development of over 91.5 megawatts of solar energy across 600 acres located in North Carolina.

The NC Rural Infrastructure Authority Grants $4.5M For Economic Development
The North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) approved 14 grant requests totaling $4.5 million. The requests include commitments to create a total of 94 new jobs.

Turkish Company to Reopen Old Textile Plant in NC With State and City Incentives
A textile company in Turkey plans to reopen an old textile plant in North Carolina, creating as many as 260 jobs over three years. The state and Winston-Salem City Council have approved tax incentives for the project.

NC Group Using EB-5 to Develop a $40M Mixed Use Boutique Hotel in Louisville
The first project in Kentucky using ten million dollars in EB-5 capital, is a $40 million mixed use boutique hotel in the Butchertown section of Louisville. This is a partnership between Creation Gardens in Louisville and a group out of Raleigh, North Carolina.

Provident Using Tax-Exempt Bonds and P3 Financing to Develop Projects
After 18 years in business, Baton Rouge-based Provident Resources Group, a nonprofit development and management company that has been involved in everything from housing for college students to correctional facilities in North Carolina, is changing its focus and developing hotels.

$5.1M Investment Going into Redevelopment of an Old Tobacco Processing Site in NC
Greenville, NC, is moving forward with the transformation of the old Imperial Tobacco Company processing site between Uptown and West Greenville in a mixed-use proposal that drew praise from most of the council.

Consensus Bill Proposes Bidding Process for NC Solar Development
North Carolina house energy committee leaders have hammered out compromise legislation establishing competitive bids for utility-scale solar projects and requiring Duke Energy to purchase significant amounts of solar power annually.

CDFA Summer School is a week long series of courses presented by the CDFA Training Institute. These courses qualify for the CDFA Training Institute's Development Finance Certified Professional (DFCP) Program. Participants may register for one, two, or three courses during CDFA Summer School. Complete three courses, and you will have fulfilled half of the requirements for the DFCP Program.
