Santee Cooper's Board of Directors has approved the sale of $52.4 million in revenue obligation bonds to refund and restructure existing debt.

$73M in New Markets Tax Credits Extended for Eight SC Projects
Greenville New Markets Opportunity II, a community development entity managed by taxadvantagegroup and Greenville Local Development Corp., has extended $73 million of New Markets Tax Credit allocations for eight South Carolina businesses and nonprofits over the last 18 months.

New JEDA Bonds Refinance Expansion by Palmetto Goodwill
Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina (now doing business as Palmetto Goodwill) is using $18,106,107 in tax-exempt bonds from the South Carolina Jobs-Economic Development Authority (JEDA) to refinance Palmetto Goodwill projects in five counties.

SC Economic Development Incentives
To reduce the effect of its high business property tax rates, and to make the state a more competitive environment for business, South Carolina offers a property tax incentive and tax savings for those businesses investing at least $2.5 million over a five year period in the state.
