Learn About PACE Financing and Traditional Lending Institutions with CDFA and Bricker & Eckler
Since the origins of PACE financing in the early 2010s, PACE lenders have been primarily non-traditional lending institutions. However, with the explosive growth of PACE across the country, the traditional lending world has begun to enter the PACE market. In this session, attendees will get an overview of the PACE lending history and the influx of traditional lending institutions across the country.

EDF Celebrates the Passing of the New York Bond Act
New York voters passed the historic Clean Water, Clean Air, and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act ballot measure to support environmental improvements that preserve, enhance, and restore New York's natural resources, and create more than 84,000 local jobs. The measure is the largest environmental bond act in state history at $4.2 billion and the largest on any ballot anywhere in the nation in 2022.

Columbus, OH Voters Approve Affordable Housing, Other Bonds
Voters approved Columbus' $200 million bond package for affordable housing that Mayor Andrew J. Ginther and other city officials say will provide funding for homes for lower-income residents in a market quickly becoming too expensive for many.

Florida Community Loan Fund Receives $40M New Markets Tax Credit Award
Florida Community Loan Fund (FCLF) has received a New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) Allocation Award of $40 million from the U.S. Department of Treasury Community Development Financial Institution Fund. FCLF will utilize this award to support projects in Florida's low-income communities that offer critical community services – such as healthcare and youth/education programs – and create jobs.

Effort to Pedestrianize Plaza in Milwaukee, WI Advances With TIF Funding
Mayor Cavalier Johnson's administration submitted a proposal to allocate $3.9 million in tax increment financing district dollars to fund traffic calming and pedestrian enhancements along the East North Avenue corridor, as well as a new public space on Ivanhoe Place.

Camden, NJ Receives $25M to Rebuild Neighborhoods and Port
Camden, NJ's Board of Commissioners unveiled a $36.5M federally funded infrastructure project. The project will upgrade a truck route and significantly improve access between the Port of Camden and nearby Interstate 676 as well as improve stormwater management within the Port access area and the adjacent Camden neighborhood of Waterfront South. 

EPA Launches Green Brewery Recognition Program in Boston, MA
UMass at Boston and its Center for Sustainable Enterprise and Regional Competitiveness (SERC) received a two-year, $350,000 Pollution Prevention Grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to help craft breweries in Massachusetts implement environmentally conscious business practices.

$1.7M in EGLE Brownfield Funding to Help Redevelop Contaminated Sites in Michigan
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) has awarded $1.73 million in brownfield grants for the redevelopment of contaminated properties in West Michigan. The plans include a multi-phased mixed-use development within a residential development and the Boston Square Neighborhood of Grand Rapids, and commercial condominiums in Grand Haven.

Minnesota Receives $15M to Boost Meat and Poultry Processing
The State of Minnesota received $15 million from the United States Department of Agriculture to establish a revolving loan program that will support small and medium-sized meat and poultry processors. The fund will offer low-interest loans for the start-up, expansion, or operation of slaughter and value-added meat and poultry processing.
