More Than $2B of Bonds Approved in AZ Elections
Over $2 billion in bonds was approved by voters in Arizona, according to The Bond Buyer. Close to half of that total will be used toward new facilities for the Maricopa Integrated Health System serving the Phoenix metro area.
Arizona Passes Data Center Tax Breaks
Lawmakers in Arizona have amended the state's tax code to exempt data center owners and tenants from taxes, Datacenter Dynamics reported. The change is meant to attract more data center construction to the state.
Economic and Educational Development Bonds Funds New Downtown Project
University of Arizona's Biosciences Partnership Building breaks ground. Construction for the building is paid for by the Stimulus Plan for Economic and Educational Development bonds approved by the legislature in 2008.
ADOT Seeks Funding Team for $1.8B Freeway Extension
Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is taking the "get-it-done" approach and will book funding all at once for the $1.8 billion South Mountain extension of Loop 202.

CDFA Announces USDA Rural Development Partnership
CDFA is excited to announce a two-year partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development. This initiative will first focus on an increase in development finance education and resources for USDA's internal staff of 3,800+ field representatives. The initiative will also promote USDA funding and financing best practices for rural communities.
