The study, Consumer-Driven Competition in California Communications Market, written by economist David W. Sosa, finds rising levels of choice and declining prices in the broadband and wireless market as increasing numbers of consumers prefer advanced technologies over traditional home phone options.
CA State University to Sell $1.14B Revenue Bonds
The Trustees of the California State University System are issuing revenue bonds in the amount of $1.14 billion. The bonds will finance and refinance the acquisition, construction, improvement, and renovation of certain facilities, as well as partial refunding of previously issued revenue bonds.

Bill Introduced to Support Renewable Energy on Public Lands
The Public Land Renewable Energy Development Act, introduced in the US House, would streamline the permitting process for wind, solar and geothermal development on public lands and establish a process for revenue sharing.
CA Rain Doesn't Dampen Enthusiasm for Drought Projects
Drought-inspired water and wastewater projects in California are moving forward despite record rainfall this year. The California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank has recently approved plans for its second bond sale of more than $400 million for water quality projects in less than a year.
PG&E Submits $250M Proposal Expanding Support for Electric Vehicles
PG&E's proposal addresses three specific areas. These include expanding the electrification of fleet vehicles, building more fast-charging stations, and exploring new uses of electrification through five one-year projects.
