Kentucky Enterprise Initiative Act Provides $80K Rebate to Denyo
Denyo hopes to receive an estimated $80,000 tax incentive from the Kentucky Enterprise Initiative Act for the $3 million dollar project, based on the company's spending of up to $2.1 million in equipment and materials.
USDA Provides $11.7M for KY Rural Infrastructure Improvements
USDA Rural Development is providing $8.2 million in loans and $3.5 million in grants across Kentucky to provide assistance and financing to develop drinking water and waste disposal systems for communities with 10,000 or fewer residents.
Plan Released for Downtown Covington Historic Property
The current plan for the Bradford calls for five condominiums on the upper floors that would be sold, with commercial space available on the street level. Potential prices for the units are not yet known but Boone Block lofts were sold at $350,000 or higher each.
USDA Expands P3s to Assist Regional Food Supply Chains
The USDA announced three new public-private partnerships that will create economic opportunities in Elgin, Texas; Fresno, California; and Chicago. The Food LINC partnerships will help community leaders and private philanthropic partners develop regional food supply chains.
Arena Authority Considers TIF Extension to Boost Yum! Center Finances
In the wake of calls by Kentucky lawmakers for an audit of the KFC Yum Center's finances, Louisville Arena Authority chairman Scott Cox said the authority must look for ways to strengthen its financial position ahead of accelerating debt payments on the arena in coming years.
US DOE Uranium Sale May Create 800-1200 Jobs in KY
The U.S. Department of Energy has agreed to sell depleted uranium to GE-Hitachi Global Laser Enrichment over a 40-year period possibly bringing a $1 billion investment and creating more than 1,000 jobs.
