Knight Foundation Awards Historic Macon $3M for Revitalization
The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation announced a $3M award to Historic Macon. $1.785M will be awarded as a grant, while $1.215M will be a program-related investment loan at a 1% interest rate and a 5 year term.
House Sees Growing Role for P3s and PABs in Infrastructure
Roll Call reports there was bipartisan House agreement that P3s should be an important part of paying for new transportation infrastructure. The question, now, is how large a percentage of infrastructure funding will come from P3s.
Tybee, GA's Main Street Program Recognized in Nat'l Program
The City of Tybee Island's Main Street Program has been designated as an accredited National Main Street Program for meeting the commercial district revitalization performance standards set by the National Main Street Center.
Georgia Communities Receive Infrastructure Loans Totaling $73M
Nineteen Georgia communities were awarded financing totaling $72.7M for water, sewer, solid waste and wastewater infrastructure improvements by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) board of directors.
