NJEDA Partners with UCEDC to Spur Small Business Growth
The New Jersey Economic Development Authority announced a new partnership with UCEDC. This partnership will help to expand the financial assistance programs available to small businesses.

Gov. Cuomo Announced 2015 Opportunity Agenda
Gov. Cuomo outlined his 2015 Opportunity Agenda. Economic development proposals included continuing investment in START-UP NY, doubling the NYS Venture Capital Fund, and launching a $1.5 billion Upstate New York Economic Revitalization Competition.

As a part of the USDA's commitment to strengthening rural economies, a state-by-state "Made in Rural America" report has been released for each state. Each state's factsheet highlights specific USDA investments in rural businesses, manufacturing, energy, water, and other infrastructure development.

Start-Up NY Program Attracts 18 Projects
Gov. Cuomo announced that another 18 businesses are locating or expanding in New York State under the START-UP NY program, according to Economic Development HQ. START-UP NY allows businesses to pay no tax for ten years.

Is Atlantic City Headed for Bankruptcy?
The city has recently had its credit rating downgraded to junk status by two of the three major ratings agencies, GOVERNING reports, and the state is unwilling to take over its finances.
