Colorful Portland Building Taps Crowdfunding for Capital
Guerrilla Development began a $1.5 million crowdfunding campaign in April to cover a portion of the $18 million budget for Fair-Haired Dumbbell. By the end of last month, it had raised more than $500,000, from 38 investors, with the majority of investments near the $3,000 minimum.

USDA to Help OR Rural Businesses Boost Renewable Energy
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development is awarding more than $517,000 in grants to help 16 rural small businesses and agricultural producers in Oregon reduce their energy usage and costs in their operations.

Brownfields Color Portland's East Bayside ReBirth
The East Bayside neighborhood will continue redevelop with help from the Greater Portland Council of Government. GPCOG  was selected for a $200,000 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Brownfields Area-Wide Planning grant.

West Eugene Enterprise Zone Extended for Another Decade
The Eugene City Council voted to approve extending the Zone for another decade. Companies located in the zone can apply for a property tax exemption.

USDA Grant Improves Access to Healthcare in Rural OR
Rural residents of Lake County, Oregon, will have improved access to healthcare through new telemedicine services to be developed by the Lake Health District with the assistance of a Distance Learning and Telemedicine grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (UDSA) Rural Development, announced State Director Vicki Walker today.

Hilton to Debut EB5-Backed Canopy by Hilton Brand in Portland
Hilton Worldwide and the Buccini/Pollin Group have announced plans to build a Canopy by Hilton hotel in Portland. Phillips Realty Capital arranged a $27.7 million construction loan, while EB5 Capital provided $15.5 million in preferred equity raised from 31 foreign investors.
