SC JEDA Bonds Finance New Senior Living Center
South Carolina Jobs-Economic Development Authority (JEDA) has issued $10.93 miilion in bonds to help build a new assisted living and memory care facility in Spartanburg County.
National Volume Cap Carryforward Reaches 12-Year High
Based on national survey data collected for 2017 CDFA Volume Cap Report, national carryforward totals have reached a 12-year high. The 2016 total of $62.44 billion is the highest end-of-year carryforward total CDFA has seen in the 12 years we've been conducting this research.
New Tool Helps Rank State and Local Energy Policies
A new tool developed by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy includes comprehensive information on energy efficiency policies currently implemented at the state and local level. The database tracks policy activity across multiple sectors, including government, utilities, transportation, etc.
Indiana Finance Authority Selling Green Bonds
The Indiana Finance Authority plans to issue $141 million of state revolving fund new money and refunding bonds which will carry a green bond designation. $21 million of the issuance is earmarked to fund eligible projects that would improve the quality of Indiana's drinking water and water supply.
Legislation Introduced to Reauthorize SSBCI
U.S. Senators Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) and Gary Peters (D-MI) introduced the Small Business Access to Capital Act, which will reauthorize and improve the State Small Business Credit Initiative. CDFA is very supportive of this legislation, and will continue working to advance the bill in Congress.
Rural Gateway Peer-to-Peer Conference Call: Harvesting Opportunity
The Office of Rural Housing and Economic Development (ORHED) invites you to take part in a Peer-to-Peer conference call on October 11, 2017. This call will offer participants the opportunity to learn more about community and economic development opportunities of regional food system investments.
Partnership Paves Way to Support Impact Investing in MI
A deal orchestrated by the Council of Michigan Foundations with Boston-based Community Capital Management (CCM) will enable foundations in the state to make a minimum impact investment of $100,000 through the company's publicly traded mutual fund, rather than its normal threshold of $500,000.
CO OEDIT Releases RFP for Rural Fund Manager
The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, in partnership with the Colorado Venture Capital Authority, are seeking qualified candidates to manage a new $9 million investment fund that will provide seed and early-stage investment capital and/or debt to qualified rural businesses in Colorado.

Jefferson Co., NY to Issue $99M for Med Center
The Jefferson County Civic Development Corp. will issue $99 million in tax-exempt revenue bonds for Samaritan Medical Center. The revenue bonds, which would be paid off over time by any revenue generated from Samaritan's facilities, would go toward several of the hospital's ongoing projects.
