Madison, WI and District Craft Deal to Keep School Funds
In a move that city and school officials say has never been done before, the City of Madison, WI agreed this week to lend almost $9.3 million to the Madison School District while the city keeps its TIF district in downtown open until the early 2020s, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

If the new TIF district is created, Unit 10 would receive 42 percent of its annual incremental property tax revenue each year during the lifetime of the TIF.
