The Lake Placid Tangerine Drive project calls for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Tangerine Drive and Heartland Boulevard. Funding includes $401,316 from an FDOT grant, $57,667 from Lake Placid transportation impact fees, and $60,508 from both the county and Lake Placid.
In Venice, FL, Costs of Public Safety Bond Questioned
Plans to put an $18 million bond issue on the November ballot to pay for roads and sidewalk improvements was approved by the Venice City Council, while a proposed $25 million bond for a new public safety complex was postponed to see if the costs could be trimmed.
FL DOT, DEP Fund Weir Project in Lehigh Acres
The Southwest Lehigh Weirs project provides construction of 25 weirs in Lehigh through a strategic, multi-agency partnership. Funding comes in part from a $1.22 million grant through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and $1.9 million from the DOT.

The Lynn Haven Community Redevelopment Agency is looking at folding the former fuel depot site into its coverage area. The site would be split into Parcel B, which is 93.87 acres, and Parcel C, which is 49.81 acres. The city would keep the smaller parcel.
