P3 Financed Denver A-Line Opens April 22
The Denver FasTracks A-Line project, part of a broader $5.5 billion P3 rail project, will begin operating on Friday, April 22nd. Over the next few months additional FasTracks lines will open.
Commerce City, CO Redevelopment to Begin in 2017
Commerce City officials have agreed on a plan to redevelop the former Mile High Greyhound Park. The redevelopment, to be financed through TIF, could potentially support 1,454 permanent employees and generate $65.4 million in annual income.
Hydropower Projects Receive Renewable Energy Grants
Two hydopower projects in Kersey and Hotchkiss, CO will receive $9,568 and $11,400, respectively, in grant funding from the Regional Conservation Partnership Program. The RCPP is sponsored by the USDA.
13 Historic CO Buildings Receive Tax Credits
13 commercial buildings across Colorado have received historic building tax credits as part of the Job Creation and Main Street Revitalization Act. Buildings in Pueblo, Denver, Trinidad, Brighton, Englewood, Fort Collins, and Greely have benefited.
BoA, Tory Burch Partner to Fund Women Entrepreneurs in CO
Bank of America and a branch of fashion designer Tory Burch's Foundation Capital Program are partnering with Accion New Mexico to offer microloans to women entrepreneurs.
Lawsuit Opposes Colorado's $1.8B Interstate P3
CDOT plans to rebuild a 12-mile segment of I-70 through northeastern Denver. Environmental groups argue that the project would not have been eligible for federal funding under earlier guidelines that regulate particulate pollution levels.
Kresge Community Finance RFP
Kresge Community Finance is a $30 million program-related investment finance offering to certified CDFIs and quasi-public or private DFAs. The foundation will select applications through a competitive Request-for-Proposals (RFP).
