U.S. Bond Selloff Drives 30-Year Yields to Highest Since 2007
The yield on 30-year US Treasuries hit the highest in almost two decades, reflecting investor angst over the surging national debt, a flood of long-dated bond sales and inflation that's been stuck over the Federal Reserve's target for the past five years.
FEMA Announces Federal Disaster Assistance is Available to Indiana After Severe Storms, Flooding
FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance is available to the state of Indiana to supplement state, tribal and local response efforts due to the emergency conditions resulting from severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding beginning on August 11, 2026, and continuing. Specifically, FEMA is authorized to identify, mobilize and provide, at its discretion, equipment and resources necessary to alleviate the impacts of the emergency.
Delaware Division of Small Business Using SSBCI to Connect Businesses to Early-Stage Financing
Since 2024, Delaware's Division of Small Business has lifted more than 60 up-and-coming ventures through its State Small Business Credit Initiative. The Division fuels these investments with $60.9 million in federal funding awarded to Delaware in 2023. DSB receives this award in 3 allotments of approximately $20 million each.
