OR DOT Applies for $50M FASTLANE Grant, Governor Pledges Support
ODOT recently submitted an application for a federal FASTLANE freight grant in the amount of $50 million for the Abernethy Bridge project. Gov. Kate Brown has pledged to support the $150 million project.
Milwaukie, OR Voters Approve $9.2M Bond Issuance
Milwaukie voters have authorized the city's plan to issue $9.2 million in general obligation bonds for Ledding Library improvements. Property taxpayers will see an increase of $62 annually for 20 years on the average $175,000 home.
Oregon to Sell More Than $300 Million of GOs
Oregon will sell more than $300 million of general obligation bonds to finance improvements at various state facilities, to refund outstanding bonds, and to finance seismic improvements for schools.
Deschutes Co., OR Approves Rural Enterprise Zone
Deschutes County commissioners adopted a resolution that expands a rural enterprise zone to include Sunriver locations in an attempt to lure businesses through tax incentives.
Broadcom Seeks $21M in Tax Breaks for Eugene, OR Factory
Memory chip manufacturer Broadcom is seeking $21 million in enterprise zone tax breaks for upgrades to an outdated factory in Eugene. Broadcom expects to pay $400 million in total factory upgrades.
USDA Invests $2.68M in Parkdale Sanitary District
The Parkdale Sanitary District in Oregon's upper Hood River Valley is receiving a $1.51 million loan and a $1.17 million grant to upgrade its 40-year-old wastewater collection and treatment system.
Astoria, OR Approves 90K Loan Guarantee
The Astoria City Council have agreed to provide a $90,000 loan guarantee for window restoration at the Astoria Armory. The loan guarantee, which will come from a city revolving loan fund, will be in place for five years.
