City of Spokane Selected for U.S. EPA Brownfields Assessment Pilot
The City of Spokane, WA was selected for a 2015 Area Wide Planning grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The grant will help support the existing Hillyard neighborhoods.

$15B Transportation Package Clears First Test
The $15 billion package that would fund transportation projects in Washington state cleared its first test. According to Washington State Wire, the package, which was not subject to the two-thirds requirement based on Lt. Gov. Brad Owen's ruling, passed the senate on a 27-22 vote.

2014 Biennial Report: Local Infrastructure Financing Tool Program
Washington's Department of Commerce issued this report detailing nine municipalities' participation in the LIFT program.

Washington Rural Made
As a part of the USDA's commitment to strengthening rural economies, a state-by-state "Made in Rural America" report has been released for each state. Each state's fact sheet highlights specific USDA investments in rural businesses, manufacturing, energy, water, and other infrastructure development.
