As a part of the USDA's commitment to strengthening rural economies, a state-by-state "Made in Rural America" report has been released for each state. Each state's factsheet highlights specific USDA investments in rural businesses, manufacturing, energy, water, and other infrastructure development.

Denny Coleman announced he will step down as head of the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership on Aug. 1, according to the Post-Dispatch. Coleman has served the economic interests of the region for 25 years — 23 of those as CEO of the St. Louis County Economic Council.
