EPA to give $64.6M in Funding to 149 Communities for Brownfields
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced that 149 communities have been selected to receive 151 grant awards totaling $64,623,553 million in EPA Brownfields funding through the Multipurpose, Assessment, and Cleanup (MAC) Grant Programs. These funds will aid under-served and economically disadvantaged communities.

NJ Governor Announces Tax Incentives Plan Including New Brownfields Program
New Jersey Governor Murphy announced a plan to revamp New Jersey's economic development tax incentives programs, including proposed legislation to establish new incentive programs to incentivize certain redevelopment and other economic activities.

EPA Awards $9.3M in Supplemental Funds for Brownfield Cleanup
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced $9.3 million in supplemental funding for 24 current successful brownfields revolving loan fund (RLF) grantees. The supplemental funds are going to communities that have demonstrated success in using their RLF to clean up and redevelop brownfield sites.

EPA Awards Pacific Northwest $4.6M in Brownfield Funding
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is announcing that nine Northwest and Alaska communities have been selected to receive a total of $4.59 million to assess and clean up contaminated properties under the agency's Brownfields program.

EPA Announces $3.9M in Brownfields Grants for Pennsylvania
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is announcing $3.9 million for nine Brownfields grants in Pennsylvania. These are nine of the 149 communities selected to receive 151 grant awards totaling $64.6 million in EPA Brownfields funding through our Multipurpose, Assessment, and Cleanup (MAC) Grant Programs.

EPA Announces $2.4M in Brownfield Funding for WV
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is announcing $2.4 million to support seven Brownfields grantees in West Virginia. These funds will aid under-served and economically disadvantaged communities in opportunity zones and other parts of the country in assessing and cleaning up various properties.

EPA Brownfields Funding Announced $2.2M for Five Communities in Georgia
Five communities in Georgia were selected to receive grant funding for community-wide Brownfields assessment activities and cleanup planning. Brownfields grants have been shown to increase local tax revenue, residential property values, add jobs, and increase public/private funding.

EPA Targets Opportunity Zones for Cleanup
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has targeted 149 communities to receive $64.6 million in funding for brownfields, assessment and cleanup grants to aid contaminated properties nationwide. Of the communities selected for the grants, 72.5% (108) are Qualified Opportunity Zones.

Brownfield Financing
EPA's Brownfields Program provides direct funding for brownfields assessment, cleanup, revolving loans, environmental job training, technical assistance, training, and research. To facilitate the leveraging of public resources, EPA's Brownfields Program collaborates with other EPA programs, other federal partners and state agencies to identify and make available resources that can be used for brownfield activities.
