MN Rural Finance Authority to Offer Zero Interest Loans
The Minnesota Rural Finance Authority (RFA) has lowered its interest rate on the Disaster Loan program to zero percent to help farmers cover the costs to replace and repair items lost or damaged due to flooding and not covered by insurance.

USDA Announces $26M Investment to Spur Agricultural Innovation
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced the investment of $26.6 million by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) into 45 projects that will spur innovative conservation initiatives on both rural and urban farms across the country. Public and private grantees will provide matching investments, bringing the total value of support to $59 million.

Update to the RI Food Assessment: 2011-2016 and Beyond
This assessment from RI Food Policy Council describes the then-current capacity of RI's food system, identified priorities for the RI FPC and other stakeholders working to increase community food security, described the gaps in the state's food system and identified assets that could be leveraged to fill those gaps.
