This guide is intended to provide information to communities interested in identifying potential financing tools for the remediation and redevelopment of contaminated brownfield sites.
CDFA Brownfields Request for Proposals
The Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA) requests proposals from finance firms and individuals with development finance expertise to assist targeted communities with brownfields redevelopment financing.
Brownfields Development Among DEC's Top Priorities for 2015
The New York Department of Environmental Conservation intends to make brownfields development a top priority in 2015, according to The Legislative Gazette. During a budget hearing, the commissioner of the DEC, Joseph Martens, further discussed the changes planned by Governor Cuomo to the state's Brownfields Cleanup Program.
WV Brownfields Assistance Center Seeks Applicants for BAD
Communities in West Virginia can now apply for brownfield technical assistance grants to help redevelop brownfield sites, according to The State Journal. The Northern West Virginia Brownfields Assistance Center will provide the technical assistance to BAD buildings (Brownfields, Abandoned, Dilapidated).
$4.2M Brownfield Cleanup Brings 140 Jobs to Urbana, OH
According to the Dayton Daily News, the brownfield project that received $4.2 million in state and local funding has been finalized after a five-year process. City officials stated about 140 new jobs were created in Urbana, OH as a result of the project.
