Crowdfunding Campaign Raises $31K for Hamtramck Park
Hamtramck has raised over $31 thousand from a crowdfunding campaign for a park makeover. The Detroit News reports the city's goal was $25 thousand, which Michigan Economic Development Corporation promised to match if the fundraising effort met its goal.

TIF 2 Stays, Tax Baseline to be "Reset"
Traverse City commissioners have voiced support for keeping a TIF district in place as it is set to expire in 2016. Though no formal action has been made, according to The Ticker, the city will "reset" the TIF to set an updated baseline.

EPA Gives Lansing Region $500K Grant for Cleanup Sites
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced a $500 thousand grant for the Lansing Regional Brownfield Coalition. Lansing State Journal reports the grant will be used to investigate economic development sites for hazardous substances.

Detroit's Historic $94.5M David Whitney Building Renovation Wins Awards
The restoration of Detroit's David Whitney Building has been recognized by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. According to MLive, the $94.5 million project was awarded the Governor's Award for historic preservation.
