Florence, SC City Council Moves Forward with TIF District Extension
Florence has voted to extend its tax increment finance district until the year 2046, a plan that is expected to generate approximately $35.8 million in revenue over the course of its lifetime.
SC JEDA Bonds Finance Expansions at Wofford College
Wofford College is using proceeds of a $50 million Series 2015 Economic Development Revenue Bonds issued through the South Carolina Jobs-Economic Development Authority to finance the development of a a 65,000 –square-foot arts center, and a 123,000-square-foot indoor stadium.
Sumter Co. SC Receives $5M for Energy Conservation
Sumter County is using a $5.262 million loan from the South Carolina SAVES Green Community Program to implement energy conservation measures and equipment in 10 county buildings. The loan was funded by the sale of QECBs by SC JEDA.
Chinese Manufacturer Receives $250K to Build SC Factory
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved a $250,000 grant to help JGBR build a 240,000-square-foot plant located in Colleton County. The new factory, which will produce high precision steel balls and ball bearings, will create 65 jobs.
SCDOT Responds to Gov. Haley Signing Roads Bill
With Governor Haley's signature on S. 1258, SCDOT can now move forward with the planning and development of several projects and needed repairs that have been deferred for years due to a lack of funding.

CDFA Summer School is a week long series of courses presented by the CDFA Training Institute. These courses qualify for the CDFA Training Institute's Development Finance Certified Professional (DFCP) Program. Participants may register for one, two, or three courses during CDFA Summer School. Complete three courses, and you will have fulfilled half of the requirements for the DFCP Program.
