Legislature Passes New Restrictions on TIF Incentives in St. Louis, MO
New legislation passed restricting the use of revenue diverted to TIF projects to be used only for demolition related purposes. The changes would apply only if other affected governments recommends that the project be denied TIF benefits and in St. Louis, St. Charles and Jefferson counties.

Set the PACE St. Louis, the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program for the City of St. Louis, has closed financing for two redevelopments in the Central West End and Soulard neighborhoods.

MO Legislature Passes Grant to Attract Conventions
The Legislature has passed a grant program aimed at attracting conventions to Missouri. The House voted 111-43 to create a $3 million-a-year fund to help cover the costs of large conventions. The grants cover up to half of a convention's expenses or $1 million, whichever is less.
