CDFA Releases 2017 Policy Agenda
CDFA is proud to release its 2017 Policy Agenda. Our agenda outlines numerous recommendations to some of the nation's most difficult development finance issues, and we hope that Congress and the Administration will use our recommendations as a roadmap to improvements in these areas. Nestlé USA is bringing 321 jobs to Solon, OH
The company will receive financial support for moving the corporate units to Solon. JobsOhio is offering Nestlé a $1.5 million workforce training grant. In addition, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority has approved the expansion of a 2013 job creation tax credit, and the city of Solon is offering a job creation grant.

DFA of Summit County Releases Year End Report
2016 was a very busy and successful year for the Development Finance Authority of Summit County (DFA) and its Certified Development Entity, the Development Fund of the Western Reserve (DFWR). In 2016, the DFA and DFWR provided financing in the amount of $55,315,000 for twelve projects.

$45M Infrastructure Investment Will Support New OH Research Center
The State of Ohio and the Ohio State University are funding the $45 million Phase 1 expansion of the Transportation Research Center's (TRC) all-new 540-acre SMART (Smart Mobility Advanced Research and Test) Center – a state-of-the-art hub for automated and autonomous testing.

$1.4M Grant Will Support Property Demolition in Licking County
The Licking County Land Reutilization Corporation has been approved for a $1.4 million Neighborhood Initiative Program grant from the Ohio Housing Finance Agency. The grant provides up to $25,000 per property for acquisition, demolition, asbestos removal, greening and maintenance.

Strengthening Ohio's Water Infrastructure: Financing and Policy
This report is written by the Greater Ohio Policy Center in fulfillment of a grant from the Ohio Water Development Authority (OWDA) to the Greater Ohio Policy Center (GOPC) to examine new and innovative financing techniques for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure in the state of Ohio.

NMTC Coalition Urges Supporters to Sign Letter
The NMTC Coalition is sending a letter to Congress urging leadership to protect the New Market Tax Credit. Please consider signing their letter if you support this important development tool.

Kresge Invests $5M in Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority
The Kresge Foundation is loaning $5 million to the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority to operate the loan fund, aiming to lower the barrier for local entrepreneurs. This investment is the culmination of a year long negotiation between Kresge and the Port of Cincinnati; a relationship brokered by CDFA.

ODSA Funding Available to for Energy Improvements
The Energy Loan Fund is now accepting applications. The fund helps small businesses, manufacturers, nonprofits, and local governments implement energy efficiency improvements to lower energy use and costs.
