CDFA Announces Winners of California Financing Roundtable Excellence Awards
CDFA is proud to announce the winners of the 2014 California Financing Roundtable Excellence Awards and recognize outstanding development finance programs, agencies, leaders, projects and success stories. Award winners will be recognized at the conference on October 9.

PACE Has Returned to Berkeley, Birthplace of the PACE Program
CleanTechnica writes on the return of PACE to Berkley, where the program started back in 2009. A year after its inception, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac refused to back mortgages with PACE liens on them and PACE supposedly died.

Fresno State SBDC Gets $63K to Help Small Businesses
The California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development has awarded Fresno State's Small Business Development Center $63,000 to assist small business owners and entrepreneurs in obtaining capital.

House Sees Growing Role for P3s and PABs in Infrastructure
Roll Call reports there was bipartisan House agreement that P3s should be an important part of paying for new transportation infrastructure. The question, now, is how large a percentage of infrastructure funding will come from P3s.

CA Passes Enhanced Infrastructure Financing Districts Legislation
The California State Legislature has passed SB 628, a bill that will expand the under-used Enhanced Infrastructure Financing Districts. According to the California Planning & Development Report, these districts are intended to be simpler and more focused than tax increment financing.
