Treasury: $3.5B in NMTC Awards to Spur Economic Growth
The U.S. Treasury Department's CDFI Fund announced more than $3.5 billion in New Markets Tax Credit awards aimed at stimulating investment and economic growth in low-income urban neighborhoods and rural communities nationwide. Ten Community Development Entities (CDEs) in California received allocations totaling over $400 million. CDFA member and sponsor Wells Fargo received $75 million. While CDFA member, Maya Cinemas New Markets CDE, received $15 million.
