Six Things to Know About Crowdfunding in Oregon
GoLocalPDX gives six key points on Oregon's new crowdfunding rule, which went into effect on Jan. 15, 2015.

OSU Announces $60M Sustainable Wood Initiative
According to the Portland Tribune, the new Oregon Forest Sciences Complex will be used to develop new sustainable wood projects to support rural economies. The initiative will be started with $30 million in private funds matched by $30 million in state bonds promised by Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber.

A Startup Powerhouse
USNews reports that Portland is attracting entrepreneurship and has made a strong recovery since the recession. Over the past five years, two programs have incubated more than 60 companies that have generated over 775 jobs.

OR Brings Lottery Bonds for Transportation Projects
Several projects will get funding after the sale of bonds by Oregon. According to The Bond Buyer, projects include local water projects, libraries, health centers, energy efficiency programs, transit and marine navigation improvements, and affordable multi-family housing.
