The city of Augusta has experienced success with its tax increment financing program, receiving approximately $873,000 in proceeds to date, reports Mainebiz.

A proposed payment in lieu of taxes, or a PILOT, would be for a 147-unit residential development in downtown Knoxville on State Street, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel. The annual payment in property taxes for the development would be $51,450 each year for 11 years.

As reported by The Monett Times, Monett city officials have summarized the achievements of Monett's tax increment financing districts in a five-year report, calling it an economic success for the area.
