Bonds May Finance $200M in Flood Control Project
The Metro Flood Diversion Authority of Fargo, North Dakota and Moorhead, Minnesota may turn to the bond market to cover $200 million in extra costs for a flood control project. The project is promoted as a permanent solution to flooding in the two metropolitan areas

VEDA Approves $8.6M in Financing for Economic Development Projects
During the last quarter, the Vermont Economic Development Authority approved $8.6 million in loans to help support brownfield, commercial, agricultural, and small business projects throughout Vermont. Since inception, VEDA has provided over $2.49 billion in financing assistance to thousands of eligible enterprises.

BUILD Act Adds Incentives for Brownfield Redevelopment and Renewable Energy
The recently passed BUILD Act provides additional protections, resources and incentives to both public and private brownfield redevelopments and encourages the development of renewable energy and energy-efficiency projects on brownfield sites.

Lenawee Co., MI OKs $50M in Hospital Bonds
Lenawee County's hospital finance authority board voted Thursday to support ProMedica selling up to $50 million in bonds for the new hospital to be built north of Adrian. The county commission voted in December to support selling up to $177 million in bonds for the 208,516-square-foot, three-story, 58-bed hospital.

WI Schools, and KC Fare Well in Financial Requests
A majority of the 35 Wisconsin school districts that sought about $536 million worth of borrowing authority were successful, while Kansas City voters elected to renew a sales tax that will support last year's $800 million bond authorization.
