Master Developer Sought for AZ Airport Property
The Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority issued a request for qualifications for a master developer. In addition to submitting facility development ideas and strategies, the team also would be expected to invest in the project, market it, recruit tenants and lease the facilities.
AZ on Track for Federal Grant Advancing I-10 Improvements
Arizona is on track to receive a $54 million federal grant helping fund two key widening projects, and adding traffic-management technology that includes a dust storm detection and warning system, along Interstate 10 between Phoenix and Tucson.
EB-5 Gets Construction Started on PhoenixMart
PhoenixMart expo center in Casa Grande is officially under construction. Some of the construction financing for the project comes through EB-5 investors based in China.
Housing Community for Artists Moving Forward in Phoenix Area
The Artspace Lofts in Mesa, a mixed-use space designed for artists to live together paying below-market rent, has been granted low-income housing tax credits that were needed to help fund its construction.
USDA Invests $5.8M to Support Small Businesses in 11 States
The U.S. Department of Agriculture awarded $5.8 million in grants and loans to support rural economic development projects and create jobs in 11 states including Arizona through its Rural Microentrepreneur Assistance Program (RMAP) and Intermediary Relending Program (IRP).
Willcox to Upgrade Sewage Treatment Plant with Grant Money
Bolstered by a $4.61 million grant, the city of Willcox plans to begin upgrading its sewage treatment plant in November.
