MO OKs $10M in Bonds for Centene's Clayton Expansion
The Missouri Development Finance Board on Tuesday approved roughly $10 million in bonds from its BUILD Bond Program for Centene Corp.'s proposed Clayton expansion project.

St. Louis Economic Development Incentives
The purpose of this study was to examine the efficacy and efficiency of the city's economic development incentives as well as to answer basic questions on: dollar amount of incentive use, where and when incentives have been used, characteristics of incentivized projects, and how incentives are layered with other incentives to complete projects. 

JRI Holdings Breaks Ground on $5.6M Expansion in Springfield
The Missouri Department of Economic Development announced today that JRI Holdings, a manufacturer of aqueous industrial cleaning systems that are shipped world-wide, has broken ground on a $5.6 million expansion in Springfield and is creating more than 13 new jobs.

A company that has provided Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing to California homeowners for about four years is setting up shop in Missouri.

County Approves $135K for Economic Development
Buchanan County commissioners approved about $135,000 in economic development funding for three local businesses Monday.

TIF Error Cost Belton Schools, City $461K
As reported by The Democrat Missourian, Belton School District officials discovered a potentially costly error affecting school funding. The discovery led to an audit by Missouri Auditor Nicole Galloway's office, which found significant loss of funds in not only the school district but other area entities.

Cortex Wraps $17M Tax Credit Deal for TechShop Building
Cortex officials and U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corp. finalized their tax credit equity financing deal that will help pay for the build out of the 4260 building, the soon-to-be home of TechShop, pharmaceutical firm Alcami and a new restaurant from Tara and Michael Gallina called Vicia. St. Louis Development Corp., Enterprise Financial and Urban Action Community provided the New Markets Tax Credits, which were exchanged with U.S. Bancorp.

August 8-12, 2016 - Baltimore, MD
CDFA Summer School is a week long series of courses presented by the CDFA Training Institute. These courses qualify for the CDFA Training Institute's Development Finance Certified Professional (DFCP) Program. Participants may register for one, two, or three courses during CDFA Summer School. Complete three courses, and you will have fulfilled half of the requirements for the DFCP Program.
