Measuring the Impact of Water Quality Initiatives
The primary finding of this study is that the Fund for Lake Michigan has had a very positive, demonstrable economic impact in the southeastern region of Wisconsin. Data suggests that, if funded in the same manner, the Fund should continue to have a similar level of economic impact for the foreseeable future.

Janesville Proposes TIF District to Redevelop Menards Property
A city official said the new TIF district could help bring together a private plan to redevelop the long vacant site while the Economic Development Director Gale Price confirmed a private developer is working on a deal to buy and redevelop it.

Bond financing facilitated by WHEFA will be used to help Marshfield Clinic Health System, Inc. (MCHS) finance or reimburse the costs associated with the construction, renovation, remodeling, expansion and equipping of various facilities of MCHS and its affiliates.

WHEDA Provides $380K for Milwaukee Entrepreneurship
The awards were made through the Greater Wisconsin Opportunities Fund Inc., the community development entity within WHEDA and include $200,000 for Operation Dream to expand its Operation WORK training program.

PACE Financing OK'd by Jefferson County WI
It's an economic development tool with "tremendous benefits" for Wisconsin communities, Jon Hochkammer noted. By approving the ordinance, the board effectively is helping to lower the cost of doing business in the county.

Dane County Makes Plans for $2.4M Solar Initiative
The county plans to purchase and install solar panels at the Alliant Energy Center and Dane County Job Center in Madison. These new panels would be built in addition to the already existing panels at the Dane County Regional Airport and East District Campus.
