Miami Neighborhood Receives $60M for Redevelopment
One Miami neighborhood will receive a facelift with $60M in new development. South Florida Business Journal reports, the Southeast Overtown/Park West CRA closed on the loan from Wells Fargo to finance both renovations and new construction.
$70M and 20 Years Savings on FL I-4 P3 Financing
The Bond Buyer covers the financing for Florida's I-4 project, which closed earlier this month. This is the largest Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) loan ever completed for a P3.
U.S. Treasury Awards $33M to Florida SSBCI
The Florida Dept. of Economic Opportunity has received $33M from the U.S. Treasury as part of the State Small Business Credit Initiative. According to Orlando Business Journal, the Treasury has disbursed a total of $97,662,349 to Florida in SSBCI funds.
House Sees Growing Role for P3s and PABs in Infrastructure
Roll Call reports there was bipartisan House agreement that P3s should be an important part of paying for new transportation infrastructure. The question, now, is how large a percentage of infrastructure funding will come from P3s.

OIG SSBCI Audit Report: Florida

The Dept. of the Treasury Office of Inspector General's review of Florida's SSBCI fund found most transactions complied with program requirements. However, the State participated in a $34.7M FLVCP investment that exceeded the $20M restriction.
