The proposed $1B redevelopment of the former LTV Coke Works in Hazelwood got a shot in the arm when the city's Urban Redevelopment Authority board authorized up to $80M in special financing for the project. The $80M in TIF proceeds would be used to pay for on-site and off-site transportation improvements related to the project.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA), through the Building Pennsylvania Program, shall provide loans to fund managers for investment in real estate projects within the state of Pennsylvania. Gov.
