Energy Department's Plan to Rewrite Tax Credit Rules
According to the Oregonian, the Oregon Department of Energy hopes to rewrite state rules that govern the sale of energy tax credits, however, several State Representatives and Senators have noted concerns and issues with the agency's plans.

OR Tribes to Expand Support for Small Businesses with USDA Grant
Through a $98,000 grant from the USDA Rural Development, the Klamath Tribes will expand an array of services and training programs to tribal members who want to own and operate their own businesses. According to Tribal News & Events, the funding is being provided through the USDA's Rural Business Development Grant (RBDG) Program designed to assist with the startup or expansion of small and emerging private businesses in rural communities.

Governor Invests $250K to Support Diversity Within OR Startups
Governor Kate Brown and Business Oregon, will invest $250,000 to support a new Inclusive Startup Fund to invest in Portland startups founded by under represented groups. The fund will make investments of $20,000 to $50,000 in startups in a variety of industries and intensive mentoring and business advising services.

State of OR and 4 Regional Partners Pilot Economic Development Partnership
The state of Oregon and four of Oregon's largest private economic development organizations have signed a landmark agreement to improve business development coordination and align efforts to grow Oregon's economy.
