Augusta EDA Issues $20M Manufacturing Revenue Bond
Textron Specialized Vehicles, Inc. will acquire a 600,000 square foot manufacturing facility through the use of $20 million in local revenue bonds. The State of Georgia will also provide $600,000 in grant money to finance the expansion of the facility.
Bulloch County TAD Finances Industrial Development and Wetlands Protection
The Development Authority of Bulloch County will continue to pursue tenants for a Statesboro industrial park, whose development is financed with $13.25 million in TAD funds. $210,000 of the development funds will be used for wetlands protection.
Rockdale, GA Development Authority Offers Incentives to New Businesses
The Development Authority of Rockdale County has offered more than $550,000 in property tax incentives to two companies that plan to locate facilities within the county.
Banks Kickstart Business Loan Fund for Community Development
The Small Business Assistance Corporation will receive $250,000 from the Savannah Regional Small Business Capital Fund. The fund is operated by local banks, and will support small business loans throughout the Savannah region.
CDFA Georgia Financing Roundtable to Partner with GEDA
CDFA is pleased to announce the Georgia Economic Developers Association (GEDA) as the official partner of the CDFA Georgia Financing Roundtable. Together, CDFA and GEDA will host the 4th Annual Georgia Financing Roundtable Conference in Atlanta.
Macon-Bibb Commissioners OK Blight Projects in 'Historic Moment'
Macon-Bibb County commissioners authorized the usage of $4.4 million to improve 254 blighted properties. Each of the nine commissioners has $1 million in bond money to contribute, and $150,000 from a revolving loan fund may also be used.
Report: Positive Growth Expected for Atlanta's Tax Allocation Districts
A report by the Center for State and Local Finance finds that Atlanta's TADs are expected to post strong growth in 2016 with a projected revenue increase of nearly 30 percent. To read the whole report, follow this link.
