Plano,TX Approves Downtown Public Improvement District
The Plano Star Courier stated that business and property owners in Plano, TX have banded together to create a public improvement district (PID) in which business tenants will pay an additional percent of their assessed taxable value each year to collaboratively fund improvement projects.

TX Gov. Relaxes Job Creation Goals for Private Firms
According to GOVERNING Gov. Perry's Texas Enterprise Fund has given out more than $500M to private firms in exchange for a promise to create jobs in Texas since 2003. Since the release of a state audit, the Enterprise Fund has drawn attention and has become an issue in some elections.

MA Rules Still Confusing Many
The SEC municipal advisor registration rule is still leaving many confused. The Bond Buyer's California Public Finance Conference brought issuers, dealers, regulators, and municipal advisors together to express their thoughts on the subject.

P3s Continue to Grow Despite Criticism
According to American City and County, interest in P3s is increasing despite the criticism. Legislation for P3s on social infrastructure projects has spread across the nation, and 49 states have statutes for projects such as libraries, schools and parking lots.
