According to the Chicago Tribune, Will County Center for Economic Development is urging Gov. Rauner not to give up on the Illiana Tollway project, despite Fitch Ratings concluding that IDOT's financing plan could not receive an investment grade rating.

Knoxville, IL Rewrites TIF Grant Program
Currently, Knoxville offers a $10,000 facade grant and a $30,000 grant for repairing building interiors. The Register-Mail reports the City is drafting an amendment to combine both grants for a single $40,000 grant program.

IL Agency Helps Private Owners Rehabilitate Historic Buildings
In a news release, the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency says federal tax credits for historic buildings has pumped more than $726 million into the state economy. The total spent on projects qualifying for the tax credits is higher than any other state.

Groups Propose Community Solar Program for IL
According to Midwest Energy News, a proposal was filed with the Illinois Commerce Commission for a three-year pilot program in which a "host" customer would recruit neighbors to invest in a project and share the credits received for excess energy put on the grid.
