Brookridge Project in Overland Park Clears Another Hurdle
Developers for the Brookridge project in Overland Park sidestepped another potential obstacle on Wednesday when the Shawnee Mission school board chose not to block the development's potential use of tax increment financing.

CleanFund Provides $3M in PACE Finance for Kansas City Project
Two developers in downtown Kansas City will utilize a combined $3M in PACE financing to upgrade the historic Brookfield Building and a former warehouse. The financing will be used for a series of energy efficiency upgrades and improvements to their properties.

Four St. Louis Projects Receive $51M in TIF
Two of the projects supported by this TIF announcement are a three-story northgate project on the current site of a gas station and the renovation of the old Armory on market street. Total investment for the two projects is anticipated to be $110 million.

MO Incentive's Fall Short of Job Creation
Missouri provides income tax credits and lets companies keep a portion of employee withholding taxes for new jobs. The state also provides job-training funds to businesses and community development grants to build infrastructure needed by companies.

St. Louis Considering Issuing $67.5M in Bonds for Scottrade Center
St. Louis aldermen will consider spending about $4 million annually for 20 years to help fund renovations of the city-owned arena that is home to the St. Louis Blues. The bonds would be repaid by a new 1 percent sales tax collected solely at the Scottrade Center and the Peabody Opera House next door.

PACE Debuts in KC to Close Funding Gap in a Redevelopment Project
A new financing tool, Property Assessed Clean Energy funding, is helping redevelopers convert a former paper warehouse in Kansas City's Crossroads Arts District to apartments. The Walnut Terrace apartments will be at 1721 Walnut St. KEM Studio.

NMTC Coalition Urges Supporters to Sign Letter
The NMTC Coalition is sending a letter to Congress urging leadership to protect the New Market Tax Credit. Please consider signing their letter if you support this important development tool.
