Farmers Fresh Market Holding Grand Opening
Pine River Times reports the Ignacio's Shur-Valu grocery store sought support from the Colorado Fresh Food Financing Fund (CO4F) to help bring fresh food to the community. The CO4F loan provided financing in partnership with Vectra Bank of Colorado's Durango office.
CO Communities Receive Grants to Diversify Economy
Communities that were hit hard by the downturn in the coal industry have received federal grants to help diversify their economies, create jobs, attract new investment, and provide workforce training. For example, according to KVNF, Delta County will use the funds to continue leveraging improvement of broadband infrastructure in the region.
TIF Part of Tools to Spur Downtown Growth
In order to spark renovation and growth, Grand Forks City Officials are expanding the use of tax increment financing districts. According to Grand Forks Herald, the creative use of tax dollars will help to transform the downtown as a destination.

EPA Announces $13.2M in Brownfield Funds Across the Country
The U.S. EPA announced approximately $13.2 million in supplemental funding to help transform communities by cleaning up contaminated Brownfields properties. Funding will be given to 31 successful RLF grantees helping 44 communities carry out cleanup and redevelopment projects.
