NY DEC Announces Improvements to the Brownfield Cleanup Program
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has adopted amendments to the Brownfield Cleanup Program. The amendments, which take effect August 12, 2016, define the terms "affordable housing project" and "underutilized" as part of the eligibility requirements for tangible property tax credits for brownfields in New York City. 

Brownfields Programs Present Opportunities in Colorado
Since its reinstatement in 2014, the Colorado Brownfields Program has been an integral part of the revitalization of properties previously overlooked due to the burden of environmental cleanup requirements.

EPA Announces $10.7M in Supplemental Funds to Cleanup Brownfields
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced approximately $10.7 million in supplemental funding to help transform communities by cleaning up contaminated brownfield properties. EPA plans to provide supplemental funding to 33 successful Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) grantees, helping more than 40 communities carry out cleanup and redevelopment projects.

EPA to Award $2.6M in Supplemental Funds to Cleanup New England Brownfields
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will award additional grants of nearly $2.6 million in supplemental funding for communities in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Vermont to carry out cleanup and redevelopment projects at contaminated Brownfields properties. 

Brownfields Color Portland's East Bayside ReBirth
According to The Forecaster, the East Bayside neighborhood will continue redevelop with help from the Greater Portland Council of Government. GPCOG was selected for a $200,000 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Brownfields Area-Wide Planning grant.

Former Brownfield Site Berry Lane Park Officially Opens
After 20 years of planning and lobbying, community leaders joined city officials to unveil the city's largest park, which was developed on one of the city's most contaminated properties, according to the Hudson Reporter.
